Via @coveringpotus: President Trump on Friday threw cold water on the idea of immediately declaring a national emergency to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border, reversing days of signals that he might soon declare the emergency amid a protracted standoff with Democrats over a partial shutdown of the federal government. Trump said he had the right to declare a national emergency on the southern border, a move that could allow him to bypass Congress and fund construction of a new border wall. But “I’m not going to do it so fast,” he said, calling on Democrats to “come back and vote,“ an apparent reference to votes on spending legislation. The president has defiantly said for days he might declare a national emergency to expedite construction of the wall — and his administration has asked agencies to begin preparations. But he has gotten sharp pushback, even from Republicans, at the notion of declaring such an emergency. His lawyers have privately warned that he could be on shaky footing with such a move, according to people familiar with the discussions.

LIES! LIES! LIES! LIES! ....AND MORE LIES!! Don’t give him any money! Its his crisis. He created the crisis with his stupid immigration executive orders and ignorance… Its his fault and his problem. Now, he wants to help the steel industry by shifting the bill to the american people and some idiots buying the wall excuse given the fact that he really doesn’t care by immigration, demonstrated by him having illegal immigrant working for him for years! Plus, he had more than time, almost two years to force Mitch McConnell -who blocked all bills to reopen the government- to have and pass immigration reform. Why he didn’t do it then? Both are con, evil and opportunistic disgraceful men!!

Trumpism is a religion founded on patriarchy and white supremacy. It is the belief that even the least qualified man is a better choice than the most qualified woman and a belief that the most vile, anti-intellectual, scandal-plagued simpleton of a white man is sufficient to follow in the presidential footsteps of the best educated, most eloquent, most affable black man.

@concervase75 yes, I agree. The longer government remains closed, the greater the national debt, the more interest owed to wealthy Americans who loaned money to the States.
